The Bachelor of Arts in Music Education equips students with the skills to become creative and socially conscious music educators and arts education leaders. This program provides comprehensive musical training and teaching techniques for classroom music, instrumental groups (including band, orchestra, and jazz), and choral/vocal instruction. Participants also learn to design educational initiatives for community organizations and private music programs. The curriculum prepares educators to work effectively in diverse school environments, blending conventional and contemporary teaching methods to meet individual student needs. As part of the program, students can pursue a California Teaching Credential, completing both their degree and certification within four years. Graduates with this credential have achieved 100% employment rates in recent years, with the majority securing positions in their field immediately after completing the program.
