The Department of Comparative Literature at UCLA provides engaging academic programs along with opportunities to pursue a versatile B.A. or minor. Students' learning extends across multiple languages and cultural traditions. To support this, the Comparative Literature faculty delivers an adaptable, diverse, and cross-disciplinary curriculum, enabling students to enroll in classes across various departments. Similarly, the CL major caters to undergraduates interested in exploring literature and languages (from at least two distinct national backgrounds) through cultural, socioeconomic, historical, or political frameworks.
