The Transportation Science graduate program brings together faculty from four academic departments: Civil and Environmental Engineering in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering, Economics in the School of Social Sciences, Planning, Policy and Design in the School of Social Ecology, and Computer Science in the Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences. This interdisciplinary curriculum prepares students with diverse skills and viewpoints that reflect modern transportation research practices. Both Master's and Doctoral degrees in Transportation Science are available. As transportation challenges require multifaceted approaches, the field has grown increasingly interdisciplinary. Contemporary transportation researchers routinely incorporate knowledge and techniques from other disciplines, and all major transportation publications now span multiple academic fields. The Transportation Science graduate program involves faculty from three key departments: Civil and Environmental Engineering in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering, Economics in the School of Social Sciences, and Planning, Policy and Design in the School of Social Ecology. The program equips students with comprehensive skills and perspectives aligned with current transportation research methodologies. Students can pursue either M.S. or Ph.D. degrees in Transportation Science.

Have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0
