Materials and Manufacturing Technology (MMT) focuses on creating and utilizing knowledge about how a material's composition, structure, and processing methods influence its characteristics and uses, along with the production techniques required for fabrication. Over the last twenty years, MMT has grown into a vital part of contemporary engineering education. This significance stems from both the heightened complexity demanded of engineering materials in our fast-evolving technological world and the fact that material selection has become a fundamental aspect of nearly all modern engineering projects. Indeed, many design advancements are now considered primarily dependent on materials science and manufacturing solutions. Progress in novel material development and the comprehension of existing materials both necessitate deep expertise in core engineering and scientific concepts, such as atomic arrangement, mechanical principles, material performance, electrical, light-related and magnetic traits, energy relationships, phase stability, thermal transfer, atomic movement, and the physical/chemical properties of solids and reactions.
