The Physics Department provides both Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degree programs. These academic credentials are granted upon showing comprehensive understanding of physics fundamentals and proven ability to conduct autonomous research. Current research initiatives span multiple specialties including particle physics, nanoscale physics, biological physics, medical physics, solid-state physics, cryogenic physics, plasma studies, gravitational phenomena, astronomical physics, and cosmological research.
Alongside structured coursework, the Department hosts frequent academic lectures and casual discussion groups. Graduate students join a vibrant scholarly environment where active involvement in departmental events is anticipated. Participating in colloquium sessions is regarded as a crucial component of advanced studies. Weekly specialized seminars also occur regularly, focusing on condensed matter systems, particle interactions, plasma dynamics, and astronomical phenomena.
