The undergraduate Physics and Applied Physics programs aim to cultivate skilled problem solvers with comprehensive knowledge of physical concepts. These adaptable curricula equip students for diverse career paths including industrial research, software development, teaching, legal professions, or business, while also providing strong foundations for advanced studies in astronomy, biomedical physics, engineering, or physics.
Students can select between pure Physics or Applied Physics majors. The Physics major offers a standard graduate preparation track, an Astrophysics Specialization, and focuses in Computational Physics, Physics Philosophy, and Physics Education. The Applied Physics major enables students to blend physics coursework with related disciplines like materials science, electrical engineering, earth sciences, medical imaging, or other areas. Regular required consultations with academic advisors help students identify the optimal program based on their skills and aspirations.
