The Business Economics major caters to students who want an economics education with a business focus. Unlike conventional business school programs, it provides a more concentrated curriculum shaped by economics' rigorous analytical framework and holistic viewpoint. Economics examines how individuals and societies manage limited resources and allocate goods and services. Essentially, any scenario involving decisions between competing options represents an economic challenge. Through economics courses, students explore individual decision-making (microeconomics), governmental policy choices (public choice), and the broader impacts of these decisions (macroeconomics). The curriculum also covers international commerce, monetary systems, and economic growth in developing countries. Students can pursue only one of the three available Economics majors. Those enrolled in any Economics major have the opportunity to participate in the Economics Honors Program.
