The Transportation Technology and Policy (TTP) Graduate Group, based at UC Davis' Institute of Transportation Studies, provides Master's and Doctoral programs designed to equip students for leadership in shaping sustainable, fair transportation systems. This multidisciplinary program moves beyond conventional engineering education by incorporating insights from diverse fields such as economics, psychology, political science, ecology, and business administration. TTP students take three foundational courses covering Transportation Technology, Transportation Policy, and Data Science, then select a specialization track from three options: Vehicles & Fuels, Demand & Behavior, or Infrastructure & Operations. The curriculum allows students to tailor their studies, building advanced expertise in areas aligned with their professional aspirations. Beyond classroom learning, participants typically work on research initiatives and can connect with professionals across sectors - including industry, government, advocacy organizations, and academia - through guest lectures, workshops, and practical internship experiences.
