The Integrative Pathobiology Graduate Program provides Master's and Doctoral degrees focused on investigating disease mechanisms. This program explores the origins and characteristics of diseases in both animals and humans, concentrating on pathological developments across organ systems, cellular structures, and molecular interactions. Students benefit from a multidisciplinary approach, allowing them to pursue specialized interests through customized curricula. While foundational coursework includes subjects like anatomy, bacteriology, genetics, and virology, the program maintains adaptable study plans.
As UC Davis's premier graduate program for disease research, the Graduate Group in Integrative Pathobiology (GGIP) unites faculty from Veterinary Medicine, Medicine, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, and Biological Sciences. This cross-disciplinary collaboration gives students access to extensive resources within UC Davis's biomedical research network. GGIP caters to scholars examining disease formation at macroscopic, organism-wide, cellular, or molecular scales.
