The Master of Fine Arts program is structured to deliver intensive, high-level training that empowers established artists to broaden their abilities and advance both creatively and in their careers. Emphasizing cross-disciplinary approaches, the M.F.A. allows performers to push boundaries in both traditional and modern artistic expression. This curriculum fosters dynamic collaboration between students and instructors, with faculty dedicated to equipping graduates for innovative artistic evolution. The Theatre & Dance Department provides specialized tracks culminating in an M.F.A. in Dramatic Art (integrating acting, direction, design, choreography, and scholarly inquiry) while also supporting doctoral candidates in the Performance Studies Graduate Group.

Qualification Requirements

An undergraduate degree in Dramatic Art or Theatre or a related field relevant to the
discipline.
A minimum GPA of 3.0.
A statement of purpose.
Three letters of recommendation.
Demonstrated skill in one or more fields relevant to Theatre, Dance and Performance,
such as Acting, Choreography, Design, or Directing.
GRE scores are NOT required.
For International applicants - the minimum score required for the TOEFL examination is 90 with a speaking score of 28, minimum score required for the IELTS is 7 on a 9 point scale.
