The Japanese studies program focuses on language, literature, and cultural education. Through intensive daily language instruction, students develop strong skills in both conversational and written Japanese. Our curriculum includes various literature and culture courses conducted in English, covering topics from classical poetry to modern novels and current pop culture. Advanced language courses allow students to analyze original texts in Japanese. As Japan maintains significant global economic and cultural influence, mastering its language and culture opens doors to numerous career opportunities. Even beginners can achieve fluency in Japanese through our small class sizes. Study abroad programs further enhance understanding of Japan's rich literary and cultural traditions.
