The Graduate Group in Environmental Health Sciences (EHS) offers academic degree programs designed for those with well-defined interdisciplinary research goals. Students can pursue either an MS or PhD program. EHS operates under the School of Public Health's Division of Environmental Health. While degrees are granted through the graduate group (overseen by UC Berkeley's Graduate Division), students maintain affiliation with and must apply through the School of Public Health.

The minimum graduate admission requirements are: bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution; satisfactory scholastic average, usually a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale; and enough undergraduate training to do graduate work in your chosen field.
TOEFL at least 90 for the Internet-based test (IBT), and 570 for the paper-based format (PBT); Overall Band score must be at least 7 on a 9-point scale for IELTS
