The Master of Public Health (MPH) is a professional graduate degree designed to equip students with the skills to address public health challenges using discipline-specific approaches in settings like government agencies and healthcare institutions. As a Schoolwide program, the MPH offers comprehensive public health education while allowing specialization within one of five departments: Biostatistics, Community Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Environmental Health Sciences, or Health Policy and Management. While typically completed in two years, accelerated tracks are available for qualified candidates, such as those holding clinical doctoral degrees. We also offer Executive MPH programs tailored for working professionals seeking to advance their education while maintaining full-time employment.
The Department of Community Health Sciences offers an MPH for Health Professionals Program, delivering executive-level training in community health, health education, and promotion. This program enhances skills in designing, implementing, and assessing health initiatives, with emphasis on sociocultural influences, healthcare systems, and how policy decisions shape health attitudes, behaviors, and outcomes across communities.
