The Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition is a cutting-edge, comprehensive graduate program that trains students to become skilled, entry-level registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) ready to make a difference in communities worldwide and locally. By emphasizing academic rigor, cross-disciplinary teamwork, and analytical skills, students will enhance health outcomes for individuals, groups, and entire populations. This ACEND-approved curriculum merges demanding academic studies for an MS in clinical nutrition with practical, real-world training. Students acquire direct experience through personalized rotations in community nutrition leadership, nutritional research, and clinical dietetics practice. This preparation empowers graduates with the expertise to thrive professionally and successfully complete the national Registration Examination for Dietitians.
You must submit the following materials through the graduate school application portal to be considered for admission. Select Clinical Nutrition MS.
Resume: Limited to one page and listing relevant experiences within the last five years related to the field of dietetics where possible.
 
Statement of Intent: Not to exceed 1,000 words; include a summary of relevant educational, professional and research experiences, as well as career and professional goals. Your statement will be reviewed for writing quality and fit of your stated goals with the program's purpose and scope.
Official Transcripts and Pre-requisite Syllabi: Submitted from corresponding institutions for all post-secondary coursework completed and demonstrating successful completion of all prerequisites before you start the program. If your pre-requisites were completed at UB you do not need to upload the syllabus.
Letters of Recommendation: Three (3) letters from people who have knowledge of your strengths and goals, including professors, clinical instructors or employers. Areas of discussion can include personal and professional development and follow-through, work ethic, interpersonal skills, maturity and attitude toward learning, and critical thinking.
