The Master of Public Health (MPH) is an interdisciplinary professional degree focused on public health practice. The MPH Program equips students with foundational knowledge and skills across core public health disciplines. Learners can develop expertise in specialized fields through advanced studies while applying their knowledge to real-world health challenges during internship placements. Full-time students typically complete the program in two years, while part-time students have up to six years to finish. The curriculum is structured around MPH competencies that shape both core courses and specialized training. These publicly available competencies inform prospective students, employers, and stakeholders about the expertise graduates gain from the MEZCOPH MPH program.
The Family and Child Health (FCH) specialization, administered by the Department of Health Promotion Sciences, examines socioeconomic, cultural, political, and biological factors influencing women's, children's, and family health. Students work closely with faculty advisors to create personalized study plans and select electives matching their professional interests.
This concentration welcomes applications from diverse healthcare practitioners such as nurses, nutritionists, social workers, and physicians, as well as social science graduates with relevant public health experience beyond traditional FCH backgrounds.
