The University of Arizona's MA program in Persian and Iranian Studies provides an intensive cross-disciplinary education. Graduate students may specialize in either a) classical or modern Persian literature and culture or b) the history, religion, social structures, and political systems of Iran and other Persian-speaking communities. The program encourages analytical exploration of current theories and research approaches within Persian and Iranian scholarship.
This Roshan Graduate Interdisciplinary Program receives backing from the Roshan Cultural Heritage Institute, an American nonprofit dedicated to fostering Persian language and cultural education. The initiative enjoys collaborative support from multiple university entities including the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the Graduate College, the School of Middle Eastern and North African Studies, and the Center for Middle Eastern Studies.
