If you possess a passion for enhancing methods while conserving time, finances, and resources, you'll find industrial engineering an ideal major. Industrial engineers refine processes by maximizing productivity, efficiency, energy use, and materials. They serve as the foundation for numerous sectors, such as manufacturing and transportation. Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering concentrate on specialized fields like production planning, facility layout, workplace design, and materials flow. As undergraduates, industrial engineering majors at the University of Arizona engage in hands-on research projects in collaboration with the Arizona Department of Transportation, Banner - University Medical Center, and various large companies.
