The Global Media Studies (GLO) Bachelor of Arts is an online interdisciplinary program designed to equip students with skills for collecting, evaluating, verifying, and sharing information across diverse cultural, political, economic, technological, legal, and social environments. Students learn to communicate ethically and effectively with local Arizona communities, national audiences, and global populations. The program features faculty from the School of Journalism with international experience across all continents, bringing expertise from research, teaching, and professional engagements with both domestic and international media organizations. Over 50% of the faculty have global work experience and contribute to the School's Center for Border and Global Journalism. Through this program, students gain practical skills to analyze media systems and understand how different technologies are used to convey information about social issues, challenges, and advancements through multimedia formats in Arizona, the United States, and worldwide contexts.
