Mexican American Studies explores the Mexican American experience through the lenses of social sciences, health sciences, history, legal studies, and humanities. This Bachelor of Arts program equips students to understand how factors like government policies, health inequities, urban development, legal systems, migration patterns, and language influence Mexican American communities. With shifting U.S. demographics showing Mexican American populations growing across the Southwest, Midwest, and Southern regions, there's increasing demand for professionals who understand this community's unique challenges and opportunities. Graduates of this program are well-positioned to shape policies and drive meaningful change for Mexican American populations
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Effective Communication: Students will develop skills to present well-supported, evidence-driven arguments.
Analytical Skills: Learners will apply Mexican American Studies frameworks to real-world community contexts, enabling them to drive social transformation as engaged citizens or policymakers.
Research Competency: Students will evaluate and utilize research findings to develop culturally appropriate solutions for challenges facing Mexican American populations.
Regional Understanding: Participants will situate Mexican American Studies within a wider continental context.
Equity Focus: Students will gain comprehensive knowledge of both historical and contemporary social equity matters affecting Mexican American populations.
Students must have high school equivalent to USA and entry requirements vary from country to country. International applicants whose primary language is not English, or who attended school in a non-English speaking country, regardless of citizenship, must prove English proficiency. English proficiency may be proven by one or more of the following:

Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic - 53
IB (English A – Higher Level) - 5 or higher
Cambridge English Scale (C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency) - 169
Cambridge GCSE, O Level or higher (English) - C or higher
