A clinically oriented terminal degree, the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program equips graduates to spearhead the implementation of research findings into optimal care approaches that enhance community health and healthcare system results.

Qualification Requirements
Prospective students must meet the following requirements for admission:
A BSN from a regionally accredited institution, equivalent to that offered by UAB School of Nursing.
Possess an unencumbered/unrestricted license to practice nursing in the state where coursework will be completed (didactic and clinical). Both UAB and the School of Nursing must have current authorization to operate in the state.
An undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale either cumulatively or on the last 60 semester credit hours.
Students with than a 3.2 GPA (last 60 hours undergraduate GPA or overall undergraduate GPA) are required to complete and submit scores for the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or GMAT.
Three (3) letters of professional reference attesting to the applicant's potential for graduate study.
A resume or curriculum vitae (CV).
IELTS 6.5 and minimum of 6.0 in at least 2 of the 4 test sections.
TOEFL iBT 80 and minimum of 18 in each of the 4 test sections.
