The Accelerated Nursing Master's Program (AMNP) offers a fast-track option for career changers holding bachelor's degrees (or advanced degrees) in fields outside nursing.

This intensive program delivers pre-licensure education culminating in a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree within just three semesters, with spring semester admissions. All coursework and hands-on clinical training occur on-site at the university.

Qualification Requirements

Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Combined score of 297 on the verbal and quantitative sections of the GRE or score of 480 on the GMAT. Test scores submitted to UAB from the GRE or GMAT must not be more than five years old. International students must achieve a TOEFL examination score of at least 500.

Completion of AMNP foundation/pre-requisite courses (table below) with at least a 3.0 GPA and a C or better in each course. All prerequisite courses must be verified as complete or in progress by the application deadline.
Three letters of professional reference attesting to the applicant's potential for graduate study.
An essay responding to a prompt provided in the application.
Applicants should submit an official transcript from every college or university they have ever attended (even if for only one semester).

IELTS 6.5 and minimum of 6.0 in at least 2 of the 4 test sections.
TOEFL iBT 80 and minimum of 18 in each of the 4 test sections.
