The Interdisciplinary Studies MS program aims to educate bachelor's degree holders in cutting-edge fields that bridge multiple disciplines. Students can customize the curriculum to align with their career aspirations and academic interests, primarily focusing on STEM areas. Graduates will develop the ability to analyze diverse information sources critically, craft solutions to specific challenges, and communicate effectively within their chosen fields. They'll also master research methodologies appropriate for master's-level study.
The program offers both thesis (Plan I) and non-thesis (Plan II) options. Thesis candidates must prove their capacity to define and investigate research problems using suitable methods. Alternatively, non-thesis participants undertake a Capstone Project requiring professional-level leadership and analytical abilities. This culminating experience may include a credit-bearing internship component.
