The Interdisciplinary Studies Program (IDS) provides a customizable graduate education that adapts to each student's academic and career aspirations. This unique program empowers learners to craft a personalized course of study aligned with their specific objectives. By selecting IDS, students embrace the rewarding task of developing their own educational path and distinctive learning approach. Designing an individualized curriculum demands responsibility, initiative, and self-direction. Those who thrive with adaptable learning opportunities and intellectual rigor are ideal candidates for IDS. IDS serves as an innovative option compared to conventional, narrowly-focused degree programs. Participants can pursue specialized academic or professional areas not typically offered in standard graduate curricula. The program facilitates tailored interdisciplinary concentrations, integrating coursework from diverse fields including social sciences, humanities, business, technology, and public administration. Jointly overseen with the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) through the Interdisciplinary Self-Designed Program (ISD), IDS encourages students to participate in MALS Core Courses and shared class offerings.
