The M.A./M.S. program enables students to create a customized curriculum by blending two or more academic disciplines from this institution, working closely with faculty advisors. Participants must articulate how these combined fields will create a cohesive interdisciplinary framework. Unlike standard degree programs, this option requires a unique application procedure - interested candidates should meet with either the Director of Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs or the program coordinator prior to submitting their application. The Graduate School's core purpose is to nurture emerging scholars and professionals who will advance knowledge to address scientific, economic, and cultural challenges at local, national, and international levels. This mission is achieved through student support initiatives, fostering diversity and inclusion, encouraging research endeavors, and creating innovative educational pathways, including oversight of the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program.
