The certificate program welcomes all enrolled students. To pursue the certificate, a student must secure approval from a litigation faculty member, who will serve as their academic advisor. Candidates should request this approval early in their legal studies, ideally no later than four terms prior to their planned graduation date. Non-native English speakers will be required to submit documentation of satisfactory results on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
The preferred scores on TOEFL IBT (internet based test) are a 102 and 610 for the PBT (paper based test). The preferred score on the IELTS is a 7.5.
