The anatomy certificate is a postgraduate program designed to enhance students' expertise in teaching anatomy, improving their competitiveness for careers in this discipline. Applicants must either be currently pursuing a graduate degree at SIUC or hold a bachelor's degree with Graduate School admission (non-declared), ideally within an anatomy-related graduate, master's, or doctoral program (such as Physiology, Biological Sciences, Anthropology, or Zoology). Other candidates will be considered individually. Preferred prerequisites include embryology and vertebrate anatomy, though equivalent coursework may suffice. Those missing these requirements may need to complete them before joining the program. The Anatomy Certificate Program Director evaluates all applications.
