The Master of Science in Anatomy and Neurobiology is an intensive two-year program that combines advanced coursework in anatomical and neurological sciences with comprehensive educator training. This program emphasizes both classroom instruction and personalized mentorship to develop exceptional teaching skills. Students must also demonstrate academic proficiency by completing a thesis at the Master's level. The curriculum includes one year of core graduate coursework followed by a minimum of one year of supervised research, totaling 32 graduate credits. Academic advisors guide students in selecting appropriate courses throughout the program. Typically by the conclusion of their first year, students select a faculty advisor from the Department and dedicate their first summer to research activities. This advisor then provides guidance for second-year coursework. The program culminates with students presenting their research findings in a thesis that meets the standards of a peer-reviewed scientific publication. Students must complete all degree requirements within three years of initial enrollment.
