SBPS students participate in cutting-edge training and practical fieldwork focused on developing, assessing, and researching social and behavioral programs to advance health equity. The curriculum equips learners with tools to recognize and tackle fundamental societal and structural causes of health disparities. With a concentrated focus on social health determinants and multi-tiered health promotion approaches, the program also allows students to customize their studies toward specific interests like maternal/child health, reproductive health, health communication, nutrition, equity, or violence prevention. Graduates emerge ready for leadership positions in social and behavioral sciences, pursuing careers with government bodies (including CDC and state health agencies), international nonprofits, public health organizations, academic institutions, or advanced degree programs.
