Master of Public Health - Epidemiology in Seattle United States | University of Washington

The Master of Public Health (MPH) program equips students with comprehensive academic training, hands-on practice, and interdisciplinary learning to tackle modern public health issues. Starting in the 2020-2021 academic year, the MPH curriculum will feature six foundational courses completed collectively by all first-year students. Additionally, learners will take specialized courses aligned with their chosen focus areas. The core program emphasizes ethical considerations, health equity, global and community perspectives, effective communication, systems analysis, leadership development, teamwork, and the continuous cycle of translating research into practice.

The General Epidemiology Track offers extensive public health education alongside focused instruction in epidemiological theories and techniques. Degree requirements encompass studies in epidemiology, biostatistics, healthcare systems, environmental health, and social/behavioral sciences, complemented by fieldwork in public health organizations and a thesis project. Participants can pursue a general Epidemiology MPH or opt for specialized pathways in Maternal and Child Health or Global Health.
