This interdisciplinary program equips students with essential knowledge, critical analysis capabilities, and problem-solving skills for thriving in urban and social policy careers. The Urban and Social Policy concentration offers two specialized tracks tailored to individual academic and professional goals. The Urban Policy track explores unique policy challenges and solutions in cities across developed and developing nations, covering areas such as municipal governance, community planning, housing, transportation, and urban education, while incorporating modern approaches like eco-friendly initiatives, smart city technologies, and economic growth strategies. The Social Policy track focuses on creating and assessing programs that expand economic opportunities for underrepresented groups and address societal challenges including joblessness, poverty, marginalization, criminal justice issues, healthcare access, and elder care.
