Future residents of the Circumpolar North will encounter numerous One Health challenges - where human, animal, and environmental health intersect and depend on each other. Addressing these issues demands professionals well-versed in One Health principles. These professionals must be skilled at cross-cultural communication, capable of uniting diverse stakeholders and specialists, and adept at applying various problem-solving approaches to develop adaptive, resilient mitigation strategies.

UAF's Master in One Health Program offers specialized training and hands-on experience in these critical areas. This distinctive interdisciplinary program combines scientific knowledge with cultural understanding, historical context, communication skills, and other essential disciplines.

Qualification Requirements

In general, applicants may be admitted to a graduate program if they have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with at least a 3.0 (B) cumulative undergraduate GPA and a 3.0 (B) GPA in their major. The Office of Admissions requires official transcripts of all college-level coursework. To be considered official, transcripts must arrive in sealed envelopes or by a secure electronic service from each institution attended. IELTS score of 6.5, TOEFL IBT score of 79.
