Global politics has experienced significant transformation in the last twenty years. The dissolution of the Soviet Union, the European Union's development, Middle Eastern developments, China's growing influence alongside other emerging nations, the impact of non-governmental organizations and terrorist networks, along with economic concerns at both national and international levels, all signal a fundamental change in world affairs. While the Cold War that shaped global dynamics for almost fifty years has ended, the future of its established systems remains uncertain. What's evident is the growing interconnectedness of nations, the reevaluation of conventional beliefs and identities, and the probable emergence of new global challenges.
The Master of Science in International Relations (MSIR) is a 36-credit program consisting of twelve courses, structured to equip students with core knowledge for comprehending international relations frameworks and practices. The curriculum fosters broad understanding of political, historical, cultural, economic, and geographical influences on global affairs. This comprehensive perspective is achieved through coursework emphasizing international relations theory and practical applications, while incorporating insights from fields like history, economics, and geography. Students additionally develop analytical and methodological competencies to better interpret and assess both national and international events.
