The department provides two 30-hour Master of Science programs in Biology: one with a thesis requirement and one without. Students planning to pursue a Ph.D. are highly advised to select the thesis track. This option delivers comprehensive research experience under the guidance of a tenure-track professor, with students completing up to 6 credits of BIOL 6000 (M.S. thesis research) during their studies. Key research areas within the department encompass animal physiology, ecology, evolutionary and systematic biology, microbiology, plant biology and biotechnology, and quantitative biology.

If admitted, the applicant will be required to submit official transcripts, diplomas/degree certificates, and test scores by the twelfth class day of the term to which the applicant is admitted.
Original or Certified Copies of All College and University Transcripts - Include mark sheets, examination results, etc. An official English translation is required. If the degree is not complete when the application is made, six semesters or three years of course work are required.
