The Department of Curriculum and Instruction provides a 36-credit master's program tailored to address the varied requirements of educators across elementary, secondary, and higher education levels. Students can select between thesis and non-thesis pathways. This 36-credit curriculum encompasses foundational and specialized coursework, along with either a 6-credit thesis or elective component. The program enables participants to explore, comprehend, and implement diverse curriculum frameworks, teaching methodologies, and evaluation approaches within educational environments. For the M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, learners may opt for a general track or specialize in one of these fields: Curriculum Studies/Teacher Education, STEM Education, Bilingual and ESL Education, Personalized Learning, or Language and Literacy. Graduates will be equipped to assume leadership roles in K-12 systems and other educational institutions within their chosen specialization. The department facilitates program completion through both in-person and online learning formats.
