The Graduate Certificate in Art History, Criticism, and Theory (GCAHCT) requires at least 15 graduate-level credit hours, consisting of 6 mandatory credits and 9 elective credits in art history and criticism selected with guidance from the GCAHCT coordinator. Prerequisites include 6 credits of undergraduate or graduate art history coursework. Current TTU graduate students meeting Graduate School admission standards may apply directly to the GCAHCT coordinator for program admission. Upon finishing the 15-credit requirement, the Graduate School awards the certificate. Credits earned for other programs (such as a minor) may count toward this certificate.

International applicants must provide original language documents and English translations. If the documents are not provided in English, an official English translation of all transcripts/ individual semester mark sheets is required.
If admitted, the applicant will be required to submit official transcripts, diplomas/degree certificates, and test scores by the twelfth class day of the term to which the applicant is admitted.
Original or Certified Copies of All College and University Transcripts - Include mark sheets, examination results, etc. An official English translation is required. If the degree is not complete when the application is made, six semesters or three years of course work are required.
All international applicants must be in good academic standing at any school they are currently attending. All international applicants must have been in good standing in all schools they previously attended at their final matriculation.
TOEFL - The minimum TOEFL score required is 550 (paper-based version) or 79 (internet-based version).
IELTS - The minimum IELTS required score is an overall band score of 6.5 on the Academic version.
