This program highlights nutrition's impact on human health and wellness. Based on their chosen specialization, graduates will be qualified for nutrition and pre-professional health roles across various settings including healthcare facilities, educational institutions, corporations, and government organizations. Introductory nutrition courses also enhance science and health education for students pursuing a minor or general knowledge in this field. Degree candidates must maintain a C grade or higher in all major and related courses, with any exceptions requiring departmental authorization.
Communication Literacy Requirement. Nutritional Sciences communication proficiency involves effectively finding, analyzing, and sharing nutrition knowledge. Students develop these abilities by evaluating both scholarly and popular nutrition materials, plus demonstrating written and oral communication skills tailored to diverse audiences. These competencies are assessed across three designated courses: NS 2380, NS 4330, and NS 4350.
