The Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts Studies (IAS) offers a distinctive undergraduate experience for students aiming to build careers at the intersection of arts, media, and technology. This program blends artistic disciplines with non-arts specializations, allowing students to choose three focused areas of study—each equivalent to a minor—with at least two housed within the TCVPA. Available concentrations span digital media production, theatrical and sound design, game development, motion graphics, digital animation, and music technology. The IAS degree perfectly suits those pursuing creative media careers or advanced studies in arts technology.
The IAS program provides two academic pathways. The arts media track merges conventional fine arts studio work with cross-disciplinary instruction in electronic and digital media production. Students following this path typically combine minors in Creative Media Industries, Transmedia, and Studio Art.
