The Specialist in School Psychology (S.S.P.) program holds full accreditation from the National Association of School Psychologists, offering a specialist-level degree with a required 1200-hour internship. This program aligns with both state and national requirements for specialist-level training in school psychology, combining classroom instruction with hands-on learning in areas like data analysis, solution-focused approaches, research-backed interventions, and collaborative work across educational, family, and community networks.
Note that school psychology cannot be selected as a minor for other degree programs. Program completers qualify to pursue these professional credentials: Licensed Specialist in School Psychology and/or Licensed Psychological Associate through the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists, as well as Nationally Certified School Psychologist certification from the National School Psychology Certification Board.
Students must have baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited university; minimum 3.0 GPA in your last 60 hours of undergraduate course work (plus any completed graduate courses).

Official TOEFL iBT scores required with a 78 overall
Official IELTS (academic) scores required with a 6.5 overall and minimum individual module scores of 6.0
