The Department of Communication Disorders in Round Rock focuses on achieving outstanding standards in education, research, and clinical services for speech-language pathology and audiology. We emphasize creative teaching methods, knowledge advancement, and partnerships with the community to foster an energetic and encouraging academic environment that motivates students, faculty, staff, and clients. Through cutting-edge clinical and educational training rooted in evidence-based (EBP) and practice-based (PBP) approaches, undergraduate students gain the necessary preparation for graduate studies.
Our department equips undergraduates with the foundational knowledge required for admission into speech-language pathology or audiology graduate programs. The undergraduate program covers typical and atypical speech, language, swallowing, and hearing functions. Major coursework is complemented by studies in psychology, counseling, biology, physics, and statistics.
