The communication sciences and disorders program offers students comprehensive studies in speech-language pathology, audiology, and typical speech, hearing, and language development. Many students choose this path with aspirations of becoming licensed speech-language pathologists or audiologists, helping individuals overcome communication challenges caused by neurological disorders, developmental issues, genetic factors, or undetermined origins. Clinical practice requires completing either a master's in speech-language pathology or a doctoral degree in audiology. Others may use this undergraduate program as preparation for research careers in speech, language, or hearing sciences.
