Texas State University's Animal Science program delivers comprehensive education covering all facets of the livestock and poultry sectors, including commercial operations, food production, animal health and nutrition, biotechnological applications, and pre-veterinary preparation. The pre-veterinary focus meets all prerequisite requirements for numerous veterinary programs, including Texas A&M. We strongly encourage anyone who is not offered freshman admission to attend another college, complete 30 hours of transferable credit with a minimum GPA of a 2.25, and apply for transfer admission.
