The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art cultivates visually skilled artists by providing comprehensive training in conceptual development, technical proficiency, art history, and professional practice through diverse studio and academic coursework. Our Studio Art curriculum features seven specialized disciplines, offering exceptional learning opportunities in Ceramics, Drawing, Expanded Media, Metalsmithing, Painting, Printmaking, and Sculpture. These concentrations allow students to connect their artistic exploration with other creative interests and mediums across the program. The BFA program concludes with a culminating Thesis course, final Thesis Portfolio, and a Thesis Exhibition. Designed to accommodate varied artistic goals, the Studio Art program equips graduates for professional careers as practicing artists and arts practitioners. The School of Art and Design promotes creative and scholarly work that enhances students' conceptual thinking and technical skills while fostering strong visual communication abilities.
