The Art Department provides both an Associate in Arts Degree and Certificates of Achievement programs. Required and elective courses
emphasize personal creative growth while offering diverse classroom and studio opportunities. These art classes
meet transfer requirements or equip students for careers in visual media fields.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completing the program, students will:
Demonstrate communication and problem-solving skills across multiple artistic mediums.
Compose visual analyses/critiques of personal and peer artwork, examining both form and content within a worldwide framework.
Identify major art movements throughout history and contemporary global art, explaining how these traditions influence their own creative work.
Compile a professional portfolio showcasing technical proficiency, conceptual depth, creative innovation, and individual artistic voice
