The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art cultivates visually skilled artists by providing comprehensive training in conceptual, technical, historical, and professional dimensions of visual arts through diverse studio and academic coursework. Our Studio Art curriculum features seven specialized disciplines, offering exceptional learning opportunities in Ceramics, Drawing, Expanded Media, Metals, Painting, Printmaking, and Sculpture. These disciplines serve as platforms for students to connect their artistic exploration with other mediums and interests across the Studio program. The B.F.A. program concludes with a culminating Thesis course, final Thesis Portfolio, and a B.F.A. Thesis Exhibition. Designed to accommodate varied student aspirations, the program equips graduates for professional careers as artists and arts practitioners. The School of Art and Design promotes creative and scholarly endeavors that enhance students' conceptual and technical skills while fostering strong visual communication foundations.
