The Master of Fine Arts represents the pinnacle of artistic education, equipping graduates to thrive in international creative industries and academic careers.
This intensive three-year program cultivates mastery in studio techniques, aesthetic principles, and research methodologies while deepening understanding of art history, critical analysis, and theoretical frameworks. Students also gain practical experience through teaching opportunities and gallery operations.
As the most advanced degree in Studio Art, the MFA requires applicants to hold a BFA or equivalent graduate qualification in Studio Art. The selective admission process involves thorough faculty review of all application components.
Qualified full-time MFA students enjoy subsidized tuition, assistantship positions, living stipends, and healthcare coverage. Exceptional candidates may qualify for the prestigious SAGE Fellowship, covering full tuition and fees for up to three consecutive years.

Qualification Requirements
An earned Bachelor of Fine Arts or graduate degree in Studio Art from an institution accredited by one of the six regional accrediting associations.
Portfolio of Works: Submit up to (20) works in the following formats: a single PDF, flash drive, personal website, or shared via Dropbox, Google Drive, or other suitable file sharing platforms. Individual files should be saved as jpegs, minimum 150dpi.
Statement of Intent: (300-500 words) written by the applicant explaining specific interest, degree concentration, and objectives for graduate studies at TAMU-CC.
Official Undergraduate and/or Graduate Transcripts: from all accredited colleges or universities attended. A transcript from TAMU-CC is not required. Foreign transcripts require an official foreign evaluation. Please clickhere.
