The Master of Fine Arts represents the pinnacle of artistic education, equipping graduates to thrive in international creative industries and academic careers.

As the most advanced degree in Studio Art, the MFA requires applicants to hold a BFA or equivalent graduate qualification in Studio Art. The selective admission process involves thorough faculty review of all application components.

Qualification Requirements

An earned Bachelor of Fine Arts or graduate degree in Studio Art from an institution accredited by one of the six regional accrediting associations.
Portfolio of Works: Submit up to (20) works in the following formats: a single PDF, flash drive, personal website, or shared via Dropbox, Google Drive, or other suitable file sharing platforms. Individual files should be saved as jpegs, minimum 150dpi.
Statement of Intent: (300-500 words) written by the applicant explaining specific interest, degree concentration, and objectives for graduate studies at TAMU-CC.
Official Undergraduate and/or Graduate Transcripts: from all accredited colleges or universities attended. A transcript from TAMU-CC is not required. Foreign transcripts require an official foreign evaluation. Please clickhere.
Letters of Recommendation from faculty or persons familiar with the applicant's interest and qualifications for graduate studies in Studio Art.
