The Master of Science (M.S.) program provides both thesis and non-thesis pathways.
The non-thesis M.S. track is designed for students aiming to expand their expertise through advanced courses and classroom learning. This flexible option allows students to tailor their curriculum to specific technical interests.
Earning a non-thesis M.S. requires completing at least 30 credit hours, with the possibility to finish in just one year.
The thesis-based M.S. option focuses on cultivating independent research abilities and problem-solving skills for complex engineering challenges. This research-driven path combines rigorous coursework with original investigation, requiring a minimum of 32 credit hours. The thesis option typically takes longer to complete than its non-thesis counterpart due to the research component.
