Texas A&M University's Master of Science in industrial engineering is a popular choice for students pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy, as well as those focusing on one of four specialization tracks: data science, health and human systems engineering, manufacturing, or operations research. These concentrations enable students to develop specialized knowledge and skills in their chosen field.
Our department offers five distinct programs: a Master of Engineering in industrial engineering, a Master of Science in industrial engineering, a Master of Science in engineering management, a Master of Science in systems engineering, and a Doctor of Philosophy in industrial engineering.
Each master's program requires 30 credit hours for completion. The Doctor of Philosophy program ranges from 64 to 96 credit hours, depending on the student's prior education. Those entering with a master's degree can complete the 64-hour doctoral track (master's to doctorate), while students transitioning directly from a Bachelor of Science program must complete 96 credit hours to earn their doctorate.
