The Master of Natural Resources Development (MNRD) program offers professional graduate education focused on management approaches within natural resources. This degree prioritizes developing practical problem-solving abilities through applied science and technology, rather than serving as a research-focused qualification.
Applicants holding a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or exceptional Texas A&M University seniors in their final term, can seek admission to pursue this non-thesis graduate degree. The advisory committee will determine any necessary preparatory coursework for each candidate.
Students must exhibit strong problem-solving skills, which can be developed through a professional internship. These practical experiences typically last between three to nine months, depending on departmental specifications, and provide hands-on application of knowledge.
This degree program is available through three departments within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences: Ecosystem Science and Management, Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences, and Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences.
