The accelerated dual-degree program (32) enables Kinesiology undergraduates to begin the Master of Science in Athletic Training curriculum during their fourth year at Texas A&M University, completing both a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) within five years.
Participants must meet the department's professional phase admission standards for the BS in Kinesiology. Eligible candidates include Kinesiology majors maintaining a minimum 3.25 GPA through their junior fall semester and completing all prerequisite courses by junior spring.
Prospective students must submit standard MSAT application materials (including GRE scores) by the spring deadline of their junior year. Qualified applicants who have achieved a B grade or higher in ATTR 201, ATTR 202, ATTR 301, and ATTR 302 will gain admission to the MSAT program, following identical selection criteria as traditional MSAT candidates.
Those advancing to the fourth year of this combined program must fulfill all credit requirements for both degrees. Upon successful completion of the five-year integrated program, graduates will receive both their undergraduate and graduate degrees simultaneously.
