Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology are dynamic and fulfilling careers where professionals assist those with communication challenges. Many people experience various forms of communication impairments, ranging from speech sound production issues to language comprehension difficulties or hearing loss caused by congenital conditions, illnesses, or injuries. These disorders can affect individuals at any stage of life. Specialists like speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and hearing scientists—all trained at the graduate level—work to enhance the lives of those with communication and swallowing difficulties.
The Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology provides a Master of Science program in Speech and Hearing Science, available both on-campus and online.
